Nana Adjoa Hackman launches NGO to empower Africa’s youth by transforming their mindsets, through mentorship, career guidance, and more

Drive to Inspire – Africa, a non-profit organisation, has been launched in Ghana to support youth development by instilling positive attitudes and to guide them in making career choices.

Founded by Nana Adjoa Hackman, a legal practitioner with over 20 years of experience, the organisation will collaborate with individuals, as well as public and private institutions, to provide career guidance, mentorship, and scholarship opportunities for students aged 13-25.

In a post launching the NGO, Ms. Hackman said that the inspiration for establishing the organisation came from speaking to students at various education levels. According to her, she came into contact with talented, energetic, and driven teenagers who require ample support to ensure they reach their full potential.

Ms. Hackman highlighted that the focus of Drive to Inspire – Africa is to provide young people with opportunities that builds them to become real assets to their homes, communities and beyond.

“In the last few years, I have been lucky enough to speak at several schools and institutions, where I have been amazed by the amount of talent, energy, and potential in our youth. Drive To Inspire-Africa – or DTI-A – is on a mission to harness this talent by offering opportunities to help young people to reach their potential through: School outreach, Mentorship, Career guidance, Scholarships.”

She added, “At DTI-A, we truly believe that, with the right guidance and encouragement, we can empower our young people to be agents of change to transform Africa for the better.”

Ms. Hackman seized the opportunity to call for support for the organisation. She called on individuals to volunteer their time to speak to students during school visits and mentor some of them. She also urged to contribute funds to support their activities, including scholarships, and to provide internship opportunities for students.
